“Car lights in the driveway
I wonder who’s going coming my way
Tomorrow we’re turning down the highway
With another bright stage on a weekday
Green grass and a radio
Watching it fly past and away we go
Seven hundred places, seven hundred faces more.”
~’Where We Gonna Go From Here’ by Mat Kearney
The year is drawing to an end… just a few weeks remaining in what has turned out to be an extraordinary year.
But for now, I’m curious as to where I will be headed professionally…
…my time at Harding University it drawing to a close. Very quickly.
Today, Friday, and the “Final Exam” next Thursday… and then I’m back out in the freelance world. Back to a world of semi-uncertainties.
But it is those uncertainties that I actually enjoy. Nothing is ever boring and it always works out in the end.
Maybe there’s a life lesson there. Or a lesson in faith of some sort.
Do what you really love doing – no matter what – and if you do the absolute best you can at that… you’ll do fine.
It will turn out okay in the end.
Don’t sacrifice your happiness for doing something “comfortable”! If you need comfortable to be happy, then so be it. But… if what you absolutely love doing other people don’t understand… that’s okay! They’re not the ones doing it. You are. And NOT doing it? That would truly be a travesty.
Stay tuned,
