And 2010 is done. Finished.
Twenty-eleven has arrived.
All the hype of the holiday season(s) are seeming just a little cliché now that everything has been bought, the tree is starting to shed all its needles (it always seems like they all fall off the day after Christmas), and all those decorations still in some shop windows seem as outdated as neon glow under a car.
So… what, in this time of New Years Resolutions (something that will also become quickly outdated) and other such revelries, will I do in the coming year?
One thing is for certain. I shall continue doing what I have been doing. But more.
Last year, I documented my life one photo at a time. For a photo-a-day project, I made it happen – sometimes begrudgingly. The photos ranged from simply publishable to money-making to downright awful. But, I did it.
For 2011 I will continue to do so.
The aim is to learn in new ways, continuing to develop skills – new skills – and grow. Nothing stagnant.
The challenge: one camera and its variety of prime lenses.
No cheating using the 13-14 different cameras I used during 2010. They varied from my Motorola Droid to a Bronica 645 to a Nikon D3s and everything in between.
Now just one.
Twenty-eleven is starting to look even more hairy than 2010 with major trips to pretty significant locations in the first 6 months. Definitely stay tuned for that! But with that comes the challenge of continuing THIS challenge there. I will have a photo-of-the-day properly made with the one camera, even if the rest of the post is full of Nikon D700/D300/D7000 action.
Still, one camera. Just one.
Stay tuned,
-Noah D.
