Tomorrow, I will be in New York City.
This is not New York City. This is just downtown in the small town… again.
But tomorrow…
…I leave for a little while. Its my travel season. Its my Travel New Year. Tomorrow sets a few months of travel in motion.
So, what am I taking on my journey? First trip is NYC. One carry-on, one “personal bag” – read: camera bag with all my equipment. And the “carry-on” is just because I probably should change clothes.
Nikon D700, Nikon D7000, Leica M8. Then, my assortment of lenses: Nikkor 24/2.8, 35/2, 50/1.4, 85/1.8 and that superwide 17-35/2.8 mess. And Voigtlander 15/4.5 Heliar, 28/2 Ultron, 35/2.5 Pancake Color-Skopar, 50/1.5 Nokton for the Leica. Then, the laptop, the iPad, the Droid 2 Global… and that should about do it for 6 days.
My buddy Philip Holsinger will be joining me Friday. Should be some fun shooting in the middle of all these business things. It looks like this book I’ve been burning time on is coming to fruition… in a bigger way than previously expected.
Of course, gotta be all mysterious and cryptic because I can’t divulge anything at the moment, but we’ve got… high-caliber reinforcements. That sounds really flimsy…
So, stay tuned… there will be more than street-lamps for street scenes tomorrow.
