Whomever killed Kodachrome was absolutely out of their minds. Alas, this was not Kodachrome – its Fujichrome Astia.
But, look at that! Yes, its a photo of a cat, but the dynamic range is so sweetly narrow on that film that its almost like the FILM has depth of field! Looking at the actual slide through a loupe, the cat’s nose isn’t burned out like that – the scan blew it out.
So, alas, that is my contribution to the “why did Kodachrome die” durge…
…yes, with a photo of a cat… and not even on Kodachrome.
