I’m all for exercise.
Today, we jogged the Freedom Trail, the red line they’ve painted/bricked through all of Boston connecting all the major sites.
From the site of the Boston Massacre (above) to Paul Revere’s tomb…
…Boston has some of the oldest historical sites in all of the USA. At least, oldest preserved.
Samuel Adams, John Hancock, etc., most of them are here.
Of course, I love all the little unnoticeable things: Freemasonry is prevalent everywhere. I feel like walking into the National Treasure story.
There’s so many remnants from times long past, even from when the streets of America looked more like the medinas of the Middle East today.
No quick trip to Boston would be complete without a quick trip to Harvard.
To see a university such as this takes me back to my time at the University of Georgia. Much of the architecture of the main quadrangle and the beauty of its lush lawn possesses a certain feel that Harvard exudes.
There’s nothing like this at UGA that I can think of…
Its no doubt, there are special things going on at Harvard.
Otherwise, the day was full of dim sum in Chinatown and other such cultural experiences as that…
…there is always another one to be made.
If the weather clears up, this might just be a good town to return to someday soon.
For now, stay tuned… there are two more days.

I am Alan Elrod’s granddad in KY; appreciate your blog & pix so can keep up with the tea tour; noticed that you had attended Univ of GA; when we lived in Union City, TN and Alan’s mom, Tish, was in grade school, one of her baby sitters was Mary Lynne who is now married to Mike Adams, president of U of GA. I also officiated at the wedding of Mary Lynne and Mike in Union City. Her dad was an elder where I preached in UC. Have a safe and enjoyable journey!
All of you are in our prayers.
