I experimented with a Gigapan photo tonight. This is a 210 megapixel (not a typo) image. Click here to see the full screen. Go ahead, zoom in. Its okay. It’ll go so far in that you can see people in their offices and apartments.
See if you can see the office with the giant deer/caribou head on the wall.
Out of sheer boredom I do this. But its fascinating to me. The limits of technology are… none. I can literally take a photo from almost a mile away with a 200mm lens and you can zoom in and explore a photo… its just cool…
This is just the first of many of this kind. I did LR tonight by hand. We’ll see what I can get done with a Gigapan. π
