Okay, yes, I’m going to do it…
…a cat-photo of the day.
Sometimes eating in counties like this you gather little friends as you eat in certain restaurants. This little one was at Nid Cicogne, overlooking the kasbah mosque in Marrakesh.
Did I feed him a few scraps? Heck yes, I did, and I don’t even feed my big loaf of a cat the table scraps at my parent’s house. My kitty can eat whenever he wants, this one needs it more…
Moving on.
We wandered around Marrakesh a few hours today exploring a few of the notable sites. Most of which had something to do with a king: ruined palaces…
…and tombs…
…and such.
Ah, with all these animals and architectures and things…
…(oops, there’s a two-fer – cuteness AND architecture)…
…it just makes me wanna get back to some people shots, doesn’t it you?
When you think you’ve had a sensory overload in Europe, you can always go to Marrakesh, Morocco, and find out that you really haven’t seen much yet.
Whether its the motorbikes growling past you at every turn…
…or the disparity of thought between yourself and the culture you find yourself in…
…there are no two places alike and if you go to the same places a dozen times, no two times would yield the same result, your experience changed each time.
The children in the alley, the smells through the streets, the sellers in the souqs, the way the sunlight filters through the mesh covering on the markets… people everywhere, all the time, all night…
Go. Come see Morocco. You won’t regret it…
…but until then, stay tuned.
