Okay, I’m just going to have to apologize for that title… I’m sorry.
And you’re seeing these posts retro-dated. Post-dated. Whatever-dated. The photos were made on the day of the post and I’m just getting to it because… …ya know what, nevermind. Not important.
What is important is there are images. And they’re street stuff from Madrid. With the Leica.
As a technical side-note, I shoot in DNG (raw) with the black and white JPG preview showing on the back of the camera. When I get to the computer, I process the color DNG to black and white. Why? The black and white JPG loses a lot of sharpness and tone in the camera. Though, I intend them all to be black and white in the end, I want the color for quality purposes.
Additionally, I don’t really see the back of the camera image very often. Anyone who has used a Leica M8 knows that each image takes around 8-10sec to process. That’s a LOT of missed time if you’re sitting there chimping, waiting on the preview. So… moving on…
The sun gets very low and the shadows long…
I love the light. Love the patterns.
The light this time of day is really amazing. Gonna leave this one color so you can see…
But some images just need to be in color, right? Not everything needs to be B&W.
Because not everything is in black or white or shades of gray… sometimes, its really in color.
Stay tuned…
