Family reunions don’t normal strike a chord with most people as the highlight of the year, but my cousin – the host of the evening – said something in passing…
“…well isn’t it interesting to see what two people can produce just a few years ago.”
Talking about my great grandparents on my mum’s side. And all these generations since. Simple math, but to know what all these people do for a living… the difference a single person can make in the world… you cannot imagine.
Not to bore you with that, but just the reach of my family alone would get pretty extraordinary… and mine is nothing too unique. The world is full of families like this.
And… the world has you in it.
One person may be small, but – remember the message of “Its a Wonderful Life” with Jimmy Stewart? – one person can never know how big a difference they might make.
Well, there’s my cheesy comment of the month. Still believe it, though.
