I’m a bit wary about calling the hills of Arkansas “mountains”…
…yes, I know, I’m being a pretentious mountain hipster, I know. I’m not sure what to call it, but a “mountain” really should be over 5,000 feet or so. The tallest mountain in Arkansas is barely half that.
Anyways… sorry, I’m sounding mean and cynical…
But, I think Pinnacle “Mountain” might qualify. It’s a pretty stout hike if you come up the back side.
But then there’s the other part of day hikes like this:
At the top there was the sound of people bickering. Unusual, because the point of doing something like this is to have fun!
“I wonder how many family fights begin up here,” said Philip. “And then they float back down into their sofas in silence and wonder ‘Why did you force me to go there?'”
What is the point of such a depressing post? Just observations of the day.
Stay tuned for brighter, cheery-er things ahead…
