It is only natural to visit a place as a tourist and think: “I saw London so I saw England.”
This is only true if a visitor has seen the whole of the United States if they’ve seen New York City.
The crowds of the tourist areas quickly dissipate and only a short drive might remove the tourists completely.
This is the nature of the black land of the Nile.
Even the major historical sites only an hour away are almost completely abandoned.
Tomorrow morning we leave. It is a shame to leave lovely places, lovely people.
