My friend Jeff always said I was born in the wrong decade. An affinity for film and a little-known enjoyment of ye olde vinyl. Some people don’t even know new artists put out their albums on vinyl. It isn’t unusual to hear: “I didn’t even know they made records anymore!”
Most of the new records released by, say, Dave Matthews or The Lumineers or Mumford & Sons (whose album “Babel” is visible here) come with an iTunes voucher. So… I could buy a whole CD on iTunes for $9.99… or I could buy the vinyl for $15.00 and get the same digital download as well.
I guess I’m a bit of a hipster… before there was a word for it.
