I enjoy films by Alfred Hitchcock.
One little clever trick that he employed regularly was camera angles that had, up until that point, rarely (if ever) been used. And he did it in such a way that was non-intrusive and fit well with the story being told.
In a world where everyone has a camera with them at all times, the things we see every day – even the mundane – are usually photographed prolifically. Therefore, new angles are refreshing.
