I drove from Middle Tennessee to Central Arkansas today. I’ve probably made that trip a hundred times. For the first half of the day, snow fell and drifted and looked like a snake winding across the road as the cars passed.
I crossed the plains west of Memphis and the clouds ended with a sharp edge. By the time I had gotten to the place where the sun was, I was no longer in clouds, but a brilliant blinding sunset.
Funny how days start one way and can end completely different.
